New travel guide for De Morgan visit
Those planning to join the Friends on their tour of the De Morgan Centre on Sunday, May 27, starting at 2pm should be aware that planned London Underground line closures will affect their journeys.
(The centre is at 38 West Hill, London,SW18 1RX (www.demorgan.org.uk). If you would like to come but have not yet ordered tickets, just come along and pay at the door. The cost is £5 for Friends and £6.50 for non-members).
The travel details are as follows:
The District Line will be closed between Earls Court and Wimbledon . Replacement bus Service B from Hammersmith will call at Putney Bridge and East Putney for the De Morgan Centre – a 10 minute walk or three bus stops along Upper Richmond Road , eastbound, or buses 37, 170 or 337 (destination Wandsworth Museum) .
National rail services from Waterloo to Putney – 12.44 arrive 12.59; 12.50 arrive 13.05; 13.09 arrive 13.22; 13.14 arrive 13.29 and then a 15 minute walk or four or five bus stops along Upper Richmond Road, eastbound, or buses 37, 170 or 337 (Wandsworth Museum).
Other line closures: Circle Line – no service Edgware Road to Aldgate via King’s Cross but operating Aldgate to Edgware Road via Victoria; Hammersmith & City Line – no service Barking to Moorgate; Jubilee Line – no service Stratford to North Greenwich ; Metropolitan Line – no service Aldgate to Moorgate; Waterloo & City Line – no Sunday service.
