While work continues on the development of the William Morris Gallery, an exhibition at Leyton Library is keeping Morris’s local connections in the spotlight.
It features items from the collection with the wonderful Peacock and Bird carpet as the centrepiece. The carpet was purchased for the Gallery by the Monument Trust in 2010. Visitors can also view a new model of the Gallery, which reopens in July.
A free programme of family activities has been laid on and evening events for adults are planned.
The exhibition will run at the library in High Road, Leyton, Wednesdays to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, until August 8.
