17 March & 21 March – Public Consultation – William Morris Gallery Development Project
The William Morris Gallery is currently drawing up plans for the major William Morris Gallery Development Project to extend and refurbish the Gallery. The development project is supported by Waltham Forest Council and the Friends of the William Morris Gallery.
When the project is complete in 2012, more works of art will be on display, the galleries will have been completely renovated and the facilities will have been significantly improved and made fully accessible. There will, in particular, be a dedicated space for school groups, a new study area and an excellent shop and tearoom. We will also be developing a programme of activities and events to make our heritage more engaging to a wider and more diverse audience.
You are invited to attend a public consultation event at the William Morris Gallery on one of the following two dates:
Wednesday 17 March, 6pm-7.30pm
Sunday 21 March, 3pm-4.30pm
Our project architects, Pringle Richards Sharratt, will be giving a half hour presentation on our proposed designs for the building and exhibitions at the start of both events, followed by a question and answer session.
This is your opportunity to find out more about and get involved in the project and comments on the plans are very much welcomed.
